· Some people wonder about their use of alcohol or other drugs but are not convinced there is a problem.
· Others secretly worry but minimize the impact of their use by blaming other people or circumstances.
· Still others realize there is a problem, perhaps they've been told by family members or an employer that they may "need some help," but aren't sure how serious it might be or what help is available.
At the Addiction Treatment Center of Longmont, we do not assume a diagnosis of alcoholism or any other addiction. Using assessment and other diagnostic tools, an ATC counselor can conduct a professional and confidential evaluation which will provide an accurate diagnosis, along with recommendations designed to help an individual make an informed decision about the next step.
A thorough
evaluation and assessment of one’s behavior is the first
step in determining if a substance problem exists. Call ATC if you or someone
you know is ready to take an honest look at the situation as well as examine
solutions that are available through programs at ATC.
